Transitional Housing Program

Parents by Choice provides community meetings for the youth to learn and improve skills such as filing taxes, how to manage money, cook and much more. We encourage the youth to create a support system with the other youth, staff, volunteers and community members. Our agency even provides Mental Health Services.

Our goal is to make sure each youth that leaves our agency can live successfully as an independent adult.

Yes! As long as you meet the other qualifications. Current or former foster youth between the ages of 18 and 21. Currently reside in San Joaquin or Stanislaus County.

Parents by Choice is a roommate program. You will meet with potential roommates prior to living with them.

Goals are different for each individual. Goals may consist of attending a certain amount of classes, working a certain amount of hours, scheduling appointments or learning a new life skill.

Parents by Choice will pay for your rent and utilities. You will also receive a monthly stipend to help cover food.
